How long did it take you to dry out the boat after that ride? And how many fillings did you loose?

I would also like add, lake erie is a bad b*tch!
Ive never been on Erie, but hear that it can be wild because of the wind and shallow depth. I went down to the Lost Peninsula near Toledo to look at a boat and was surprised to see the the whole area had HUGE seawalls along the Ottawa River because the wind blowing across will make the water level go up and down 4 feet.

It's a heavy boat built by Allmand.with a rounded keel. It prefers rough water. Maybe not that bad but it don't like flat water at all. To be honest I don't think we got wet at all. The guy that took the picture said we would go down and disappear under the wave tops then she would climb right back up the next wave like in the picture and back down again.
There was one time. A lot of years back I was about in the same exact place when a rain squall / microburst came up the channel. It was like looking at the end of the world coming at you and being my boat ramp was on the other side of it running away was just going further away from home and into open water. Put the life jacket on and waited for it to come. Tunneled a couple waves just trying to keep it pointed into the wake (wake started coming from all angles after it started to bounce of the shoreline down both side of the channel). 20 minutes of pure hell but we came out of it wet but intact. I get back to the ramp and then home and as I pull up the wife looks a little overlay excited to see me. She tells me that the storm was all over the news. It flipped a water taxi in the Inner Harbor killing a bunch of people and when she couldn't get ahold of me (due to my wet phone) she called the coastguard. From that day on it was my true love. I've had sleeker and I have faster but there is none better for where I live.
