Could you please post a pic of the Orange when you get it? My boat is mostly a deep orange as well, would like to see how close it is.

If someone can build big HP motors (1100 hp +) and get 250-300 hours out of them I'm on board regardless of valve train. Problem is not many have. Mercury isn't perfect but have accomplished this on a consistent basis. I do however that Bill P's 388 might be the best sounding machine ever.

Spoke to seadek yesterday and they are having issues with the color on the red and orange still but hope to have it worked out soon. I plan on sticking a sample on the roof of my truck for a little while and seeing how it hold up.

The Seadek material holds up well with some consideration for wear and tear - If you abuse the hell out of it - it will show... Simply like everything else!

If you have any marina's around that are dealing in Used Ski/tow boats ( Correct Craft for example) they will 99% likely have Seadek installed... Biggest issues we had with the Nautique was not enough care on install (not fully cleaned/De-greased) and a edge would lift.

Generally the colors were fast but Red may be prone to discoloring premature... only a few boats we had had a red underlay (under tan or Grey surface).

If the SeaDek gets installed over non-slip/textured surfaces whats to keep the water from being trapped between the foam and deck? Seems like trapped water would get funky after sitting for a while.

Not sure how it applies so can't explain anything in tech terms.

I can however attest to many people who in stalled it years ago over their original surface and there is no funk, smell, or anything like that at all.

That sucks. That pattern in it was pretty awesome.

I have only seen the flooring installed over a diamond pattern non-skid and one very flat stipplied non skid... the backing adheisive is like a graphic (peel barrier and apply in one shot). If you get it down solid and the edges are tight to the floor- water does not pass under it as it takes a bit of work to get the panels off later
