Brought to you by the same idiots that have ruined everything we hold dear, our Federal Government.

Done...

Just follow the money if you want to know where this legislation is coming from because it certainly isn't being done for the welfare of this planet.

Exactly. But don't mention that around the Cat Can Do/American Ethanol/Ignite Racing Fuel crowd. They'll send their 12 year old promotional manager after you

Not 20 minutes later the posts were deleted and I was blocked. No argument, ethanol has it's place in some radical situations.....NOT for the everyday boater.

TeamSaris - some fights are worth fighting, and this is one of them.

Most of us are performance minded people and understand the benefits of E85 . Also understand the - 's and would not use it blindly, and thus probably run into few if any issues to if we decided to use it too.

Issue is E10, and E15 would be worse, where the vehicles at hand weren't built for them and the owners not aware enough nor skilled enough to deal with it.

Also, many of us Northern boaters have boats that have fuel in tanks and carb's or fi that see temps from -30F to 100F. Humidity from 0% to 100%. This draws in humidity in all of itself.

Anyway, for a marina or boat shop 'guru' to say it is all BS, well, is either in a place there is no chance for humidity to get in the fuel or is blinded for a reason.

It is not right for him to say this andmany of us will come forward and say so.

Ramble done for this post.

I am not PRO e10 or any form of E fuels but will have to say this as I have brought up many of times. A form of alcohol has been in the fuel supply since 1974 and the phase out of lead. the energy crisis of the 70's also brought upon adding alcohol to the fuel. It was called GASOHOL and also winter gas in the northern states. They just never talked about it nor label it back then at the gas stations.

Also when I first moved to Texas back in the very early 80's they had 5 % methanol in the fuel supply at the gas pumps here - Methanol is even worst than E 10 - it is very corrosive and caused huge vapor lock conditions - some label the 5 % Methanol on the pumps with a very tiny sticker but many did not back in those days.

1979 video as I even remembered it on TV. link below watch it and again it was called gasohol back then. really nothing has changed.

Also fuel water seperating filters has been on boats for about 35 to 40 years now gas side and diesel marine side forever - why because even NON ethanol gas still got water it 40 years ago. Think about it they were installed 35 to 40 years ago not for looks but because water got into the fuel as well. Some of you guys were not even born. Old timers should know this already and remember all of that plus all the info out about gasohol way back in the 70's during huge energy crisis. Hell the lines at the gas pumps were miles long for fill ups during the energy crisis. The alcohol was added back then to help a bit against USA depended of foreign oil. . Just saying

E10 is causing terrible issues for boaters, snowmobiles, classic cars, any two-stroke....E15 will only make things worse. The water being sucked in is a minor part of the issue BUP. Water Separating fuel filters have been around for a long time, but they weren't designed to be a band aid for this disaster.
We've seen melted fuel lines, a few fiberglass fuel tanks totally ruined (it's not just Skaters), scorn pistons, etc. It's awful stuff and it's worth standing up for ourselves.
