So why do I keep running my big mouth because crap like this takes good boaters out of boating for good because they can NOT get their boat properly fixed or shaddy stuff like this is done to them. Overtime they look at it is why bother to even own a boat anymore - time to get out for good and find a better cheaper hobby. I see stuff like this somewhat and really bad boat repairs along with alot of miss stuff as well on a weekly basis, The end user has not one ounce of trust anymore in any marine industry areas including even with the good shops LIKE WHAT I PROVIDE. Do what your say you are going to do? At a realistic price? Bwahhahahaha! Not here my friend. Plan on spending twice as much and get something half as good - thats the Sunshine State! :) Nuke, I really feel for you. You tried to do your due dilligence and got screwed. Unfortunately it is the world we live in. |
Just three quick comments, LCM has had a huge assortment of issues all derived from the original owner and his minions, we all know who that guy was. Since the "new" owners took charge things presumably changed for the better, in my best assumption from the info I've gleaned is that LCM does not specialize in go-fast equipment and concentrates more on pontoons, ski boats and other smaller recreational vessels. Dan Candido was an original salesman from the old days and he carries with him all the dirty tricks that secure his salary. He knows what happened to that hull, of that I have no doubt. Lastly, I have posted and others have posted significant dilemmas here on OSO about LCM. This would have been a great resource for you to pull from, old posts can bring to light obvious issues.

I know you don't care what HP the engines are, but I'd be curious why those 525s are labeled 700s. And you are absolutely correct, when spending that kind of coin, you don't expect to see these kinds of things. However, a blown up 525/700 could be just as much or more to correct...... Good luck my friend, and enjoy a beautiful boat when you can....

You're absolutely right. But on the flip side, if a surveyor doesn't work for (any) marina and adequately represents the customer, then I would expect credibility would have (possibly) a bigger effect on a surveyors income.
I'm a glass half full guy.

Problem is a big marina can have a big effect on a surveyors income. Especially if they don't like a report on one of their boats.

Exactly what I'm talking about.

Good hitmen travel in from out of town, get the job done, collect, and leave. Perhaps the surveying industry needs to follow suit.

Soooo the question is to the previous owner that was just on here is
Who performed the repairs , and how much did you pay to have them done? |
Exactly who did the repair and how much did he pay and how much did he know about the damage --- the past owner ? He should have a vast interest in this as well - WHY because lets say he had to pay for the work done / damage - and his bill was 12 K for the repairs ??? So past owner did you get 12 K worth of cobbed patched job that you can see now and the end results of that cheap 200 dollar repair ?
Would nt be something if the past owner got jammed up the azz with thousands of dollars repair bill and or it came off the top after the sale as EXPENSES on top of the cosign fee of 14 K. WOW the consign shop hit a grand slam home run even off the past owner --- KEEP in mind I am only thinking here BUT wonder how much of this is true ????????????????????????????????????????? With that said past owner how much of this is true in my post ??? |
Okay Matt, I don't really know what this means "declare your intent with my name" but all I have done on this whole thread is tell a true story. Your response looks like something a lawyer would tell you to write, i.e. no specifics and the declare thing. I have never placed blame anywhere, have I questioned, yes, but all I have done is tell my story. I have no intent with your name, whatever that may mean to you. But I hope when you're in your black gold and white 412 Skater, Downtown1 at lake lanier this July someone will question you on this very topic. I know I'll never hear a response from you and I'm sure if you're human it's eating you inside to start typing, but I'm taking care of the problem I got myself into. This thread is for this small community of performance boaters to learn from. I would if I were you though, go to whomever it was that slapped some gel, did some sanding and painted the poor NT and ask for my money back. Gas money for the new Skater.
