NT is off the stilts and on the trailer. Heading down tomorrow to pay Terry. He hasn't got it all added up yet. May need to rob the bank when I stop for cash.. On LOTO this weekend if anyone is out and about probably be up the Gravios area.

Thanks, and another thanks to Matt for stepping up in this 9 week project. Some of the sting has been removed. Also, Matt was one the first in the water in the 388 Skater incident at Lamier. I personally sent my condolences to Matt. Again, stand up guy.

Didn't read this thread until just now.....wow. We were at Lanier for the run and wish I could have met more people in the OSO community. Glad things worked well for the repair and happy boating to all. Good character of the seller to help. I sold my 357 SR1 last year and while the buyer was looking at the boat an impeller pump leaked. That shocked me because new kits were put in both that same week. I offered the buyer more than enough cash to have a brand new one installed and he was happy with that. So I paid twice for something and it was totally unexpected but things worked out well for a good sale.

Have to agree. have had a survey and got screwed and seen others screwed. Never use them again. Not saying they are all bad. But I don't think they are interested in anything more than ensuring they check and the boat meets the eye test.

Is there a reputable rating agency for boat surveyors? I've read/heard of some real horror stories about surveyors, and a few good ones too. Aside from personally knowing one, or someone that's used a good one, how can you choose without getting burned???
