Sorry for your troubles. That said, a bit surprised you didn't see the issues prior of paying for it. You also used it, seller/surveyor will suggest that you did it. Proving anything will be hard, may not be worth it. Take satisfaction that you are warning others. Survey. NOTE! There are several type surveys. Some are for insurance, some for finance, and a few for the protection of the buyer. I looked at an older boat a few years ago. Cozzi did a survey, prior. He did told me it was for insurance only, and not mechanical or structural. So I was aware. (walked away from the boat, too many issues) but beware of what survey you reading. I rather have a knowledgeable buddy with me, then some surveyors ( some..
some are OK. )

I could take that thing on a joyride, find out it's not amphibious, then go to West Marine and buy some gel coat, "brush" it on, buy some aerosol cans "spray" some clear on it all well within 50 days. Just saying you might want to ask your dad.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I'd be sick. I agree with the others, with all the shady MF'ers out there, someone knows the full story...

Sorry to hear about this, as I just went through pretty much the same experience with the same Surveyor! Although mine wasn't purchased through any dealership. I researched on my own, he had all the credentials etc.. and the surveyors that don't do high performance boats, as I called many, recommended him. What a waste of money, 600 bucks to basically tell me the fire extinguishers needed inspected and went as far to copy and paste the sellers add in his report! Really? That wont happen again

Thanks for the condolences. I purchased this boat with extra money aside for any type of mechanicals it may need, so that money is being used to fix the structure. Plan going forward was to post my story and move on. Lots of good insights for others to look at on this thread prior to purchasing. I waited to post until I was sure no one involved in this cover up was willing to help in any way. And to answer one question, yes I looked at the hull of the boat when I arrived in Kentucky, from what you could see on the trailer, it looked great. The picture of the wavy fiberglass/gel with the crack is nearly under the boat on the starboard side. The other is after my fiberglass guy started sanding, which is showing how long of a spot that was repaired, and this is on both sides. Weird. Just wish I knew what happpened.

I would nt even show up for 600 bucks to a do a survey on any twin engine app boat even if the engines were out of the hull on a stand. Not even close.. if that is the case you 4 sure get what you pay for. Let me guess a surveyor with a clip board and a pair of eye glasses only NO TOOLS
