When it won't stay in gear any longer... That was my deal... 15,000.00 later, I'm all good..

I believe masher is suggesting his transom went soft and this bit him when the gearing became missaligned. To correct transom and drive was $15K

That would really suck.

I was hung up on the "40 minutes to fill up" because the whole thing sounded like a made up story to me, which it was.

We have had plenty of people come on here and pretend to be something they aren't. So, made up stories can send the wrong message.

You said you didn't want the boat "poached" out from under you. You could have simply said you are looking at a boat and not mentioned what it was. Or, if you wanted to take the chance, there is some info on the boat you bought here. In fact, the old owner is a member here. Not sure if he still frequents, but he posted some info about the boat a couple of years ago.
