There is just no way you could do it having to pay someone to fix your stuff. Racing is brutal on the equipment and between motor/drive rebuilds and hull repairs anyone without a large cashpile at their disposal would sink relatively quickly!!

I have no problem doing the work. I'm sure I could round up a pit crew as well. The travel and parts would be where I would need backing
That's why I wasn't running with you. Didn't want to break anything. So I was taking it easy.

I think we all share this sentiment. I would love to go racing, no way to afford it though, also requires to sacrifice a lot of other things along the way.

well the problem lies with the flat water events, most races are on flat bodies of water!

Not true IMO. We just raced Point Pleasant NJ with big water. Then we race Atlantic City NJ big water. SBI has ocean races and KW. IMO if you want a kick ass time in the ocean buy a SVL or class 4-7. It is affordable for all you poker run guy's. Yes the cost for super cat is out of range for most. If you don't mind not being the big dog then there are plenty of smaller classes to race in if you like hanging and banging.

Not sure if this was posted, but nice vid. AJ...you got a nice machine there.

Too the editor of the vid...nice job on keeping the wind buffeting noise down and the engine roar up. Just curious how that's done?

Been on and drove that boat a few times, sold me on that hull design. Construction and rigging is excellent as well.

And to top it off Fountain skanks keep jumping on it.

I ran mine in Long Island Sound, chop is generally not an issue with the exception of August dog days which makes it more like a lake, and that hull never disappointed. My test ride was in Massachusetts on a very windy way with true 4's+ minimum with plenty of holes at 68mph. Sold me, and my buddy JROMY who was with me on that ride wound up buying a PP too. I can't remember any conditions over the years I had it where I felt the boat couldn't handle it. As solid a ride as you'll ever get. Definitely not a lake or river boat...complete fail on that end, this hull needs some slop to wake up. If I was a lake or river boater a PP would be at the bottom of my list although at 89mph with 525s and sporty shorties it's no slouch for a conventional hull.
