Biggest recorded wave height for the day was 5' and all those people turned around with their tales between their legs??
Big $$, big power, big drives, Tres classes, talk crap about how awesome their brand is at handling waves and don`t have the balls to even exit the channel to see what the conditions are like.. oh boy. probably best to stick to jumping cruiser wakes or staying within your bay or River of the Ozarks and please stay off of Facebook telling everyone what a wavecrusher you have.
90 boats got schooled by sub 38' bravo boats.
Welcome to Lake Michigan, it gets rough and you may actually need to know how to drive a boat.

Steep 3-5's on Lake Michigan are bigger than people think. NK

Great pics. Pete.. Thx. Glad that everyone had a good and safe time. A bit too far for me to go,, but hmmm.. I'm tempted next year. I know the Mich. It can get a lot chittier then most oceans I been on. A boater have to know and respect the lake. Know his/her equipment and passengers. I have no problem many turned around. Reading the posts (didn't read all ) there should have been a safer less messy way to "come back in". That being said, no reference to "baIIs" or lack of who didn't go out for a while, it's not baIIs thing, It's a boating thing or a performance boating and it's dying thing. Poker runs became a show boat event, not a "running" event. High $ boats, bunch of deck décor, bling, etc. but when it gets a to the point of what some of us Ole' farts call "FUN", big waves and running, crushing some, for many it's a no go. OK be safe first and foremost. But here's the.. "safe" 5, 6- or more in an Offshore performance boat " is flat out contradictory". If that's the boating one wants to do? forget the flat screens in a cig, or OL, NT. or ?, (a flat screen just don't belong in a performance offshore) forget the 6+ party groupies. Get a cruiser, fill it up with deck decor, show it off at the docks and quit bragging about your "offshore boat". I will get chit for this, and this is not about safety, it's about what the offshore boating is, and how fast it's vanishing, in place of high powered, expensive ego boost to substitute hard running offshore boating. You can run hard and safe. People turned around, I respect the decision. No questions, no issues. Running on rough? yes, but not with 6+ peeps on board and a flat screen that will go flying. I got my boat for a reason. No flat screen, but will run and go where ever I want to take her. And I have, and when it's unsafe, for me and 1 or 2 peeps on it?. I will know, but before it's unsafe, I don't have to worry about 6+ peeps, TV, and I can run and push it and do what the boat and me is made for. Safe and wild fun offshore performance.
ok comment away, and be safe but have a hellava good time running these toys.
