There is big difference between long duration ocean rollers and short duration lake waves. Lakes can seem rougher.
This is a video after a offshore hurricane, wind is gone but waves are there, at least 20 footers, if not more.

depends on where you boat .
if you boat on lakes they are the roughest ,
if you boat in oceans they are the roughest .

kinda like whos better lookin me or you ?
