40" in my home.
Car, truck, and motorhome all lost.
Shop had 50", which has all of my tools and equipment, race car, expensive stuff.
Luckily I was able to get my bass boat out and ferry neighbors out of their homes.
Though I *****ed about paying it each year "because there's never been a flood here", I had flood insurance...structure only.
I'm one of the lucky ones.
I own some commercial property that my son-in-laws machines shop is in which got 6' of water.
All of his CNC machinery went under, and it is probably going to put him out of business.
State Farm has been fair on my year old car and truck, but still waiting on motorhome numbers.
Buying another motorhome to live in while home is repaired.
OSO member Ohh Woww got 3' in his house and shop too.
80% of the homes where I live had major flooding, many in non flood zone areas.
Its bad.
I hear people say "we got out with the clothes on our backs", and was always skeptical of how that can be. Now I know.
