Was that the Checkmate I read about on OSO that is a single engine boat with a #6 Drive, and Turbo Motor ?

That is the boat. There was certainly more speed to be had but after hitting 120 I wasn't really interested in looking for more.

Hmm. Back in the early 2000's on one of the Sunsation rallies we were out front in Frank's (guy who built first Innovator) 38 Fountain running 80 - 82 MPH and there was a Aggressor behind us off to port running back to Metro that A). Was pretty much keeping up with us in the snot and B). was in the air more than the water! You perhaps?!

Hi!

Choudron 25 is like my Phantom 25, but with a new 2 step bottom. Runs 86-89 mph with a single 300XS, Quick!

Been a while, I did do the few of the runs. White aggressor with teal and yellow strips. There was a blown red one that really hauled the mail too.

I liked that boat, I cannot imagine how many boats you beat in that Checkmate, and when the race was over and they wanted to chat the look of atonishment on their faces, a holy sh*t moment for them.

Remember, a 29' Fever is only a 26/27' boat. The swim platform and beak are included in the overall length.

You need more tab or something, my 272 baja ran pretty solid to mid 90s as long as you didnt get into nasty criss cross chop, above 95, well that was a spooky ride! It didnt chine in high 90s but it floated around because drive, tab tips and a few inches of pad were all that was in the water!
