I looked, but couldn't find any official announcement of the 2017 date at this time. However, the Shootout has been held on the weekend before Labor Day weekend for the past 20-plus years, so your room booking looks good.

We booked 2 rooms and a boat slip for Next year at Camden when we left. Kind of ****ty we could not book a water view room or suite as Super Cat Fest held every water view room and you HAVE to go through them.

Everybody has to make a living including the event coordinators. I reserved a slip thru Supercat every year to support the event which draws the boats I like to see to my location. Heck I did not get to use my slip at all this year due to mechanicals and I still paid for it. You get a hotel room a reserved slip parties and a bag full of stuff.
