Everything else being pretty much right (rpms, props, trim/tab settings, etc.) what are the easiest least costly (free) setup tricks you can do to gain a mph or two. I already know the basic free stuff like less passengers, less fuel, get rid of any excess cabin weight like anchors, all of the panties you collected over the summer because it's a Fountain etc. Just curious what your thoughts are.

I have a buddy who does that. He has an old Cig Top Gun that probably weighs 20,000 lbs due to being waterlogged and he's lucky if it goes 65 downhill with a 40 mph tailwind. He tells everyone it goes 100 and it sounds like it does at idle. Maybe he's the smart one.

Easy for Fountain owners, just do what Reggie did at the factory. Prop it for top speed only, run with 10 gallons of fuel down river/down wind!

^^^ At my old Jet Ski rental business, I would set speedos to KPH setting. I'd hear " I had it up to 60,bro ,I was flyin' " all the time...
