I'm sure not everyone will think this was funny, but a few weeks ago there was a wedding on the shore of our lake. Now granted, my stock 496 isn't that loud but I couldn't resist dropping the hammer and coming a little closer to shore to provide some wedding music for the guests!!

I only worry if I see kids close or old folks. But the way my boat sits it isn't bad.

When I was checking out my current boat, I asked the prev owner, if the silent choice worked.
He replied "Buddy, THIS boat is all about AGGRAVATION and INTIMIDATION,,, yeah I guess it still works"
To keep that spirit alive, I'll crack the throttles 2 clicks open, crank it and BOOM.

That's wonderful...we now have noise laws in CT, it's coastal waters. Like I said, we're our own worst enemies now.

I took a guy i worked with to the dry docks when i fired it up just to check things out before the next weekend. I asked them to stand behind the boat to make sure i have water coming out. (Dry exhaust) A quick fire and then a good laugh. Keeps them from asking for rides and then i'm called the crazy one.
