My 97 F-250 has Michelin LTX M/S LT265/75-16's. I have about 75K miles on them with lots of life left. When these go, I'll put the same thing on again.

I swear by my Michelin's. They have a great looking deep lug tread. But most of all, they work great in mud, snow, ice, wet roads, etc. - no noise going down the road. I tow the boat and carry an 1800# truck camper on them, not to mention heaping piles of logs. The truck will squat but the tires don't. I rotate them every 8-10k mi. when I remember. I will definitely stick with them.

My $.02

After some more research, I am going to go with 16" tires. All of the 17" tires are only 'C' load rated. I definately want to go with 'D' or 'E' rated tires. I think I am leaning toward the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO. I just don't think you can go wrong there.

BFG A/T KO LT265/75R16/D has an overall diameter of 31.8 inches, with a 3042lb rating at 65psi.

Nitto TG LT265/75R16 has an overall diameter of 31.54 inches, with a 3000lb rating at 65psi.

These are both D rated tires. I am going with ARE Outlaw II rims to match the boat trailer. I will post pics when all is said and done. Thanks for all of your inputs guys! More is always appreciated!

Thumbs up

Sydwaz, I have a 3/4 ton GMC I used to tow my AT, now it is in a hi & dri. I recently put a set of Terra Grapplers and new style Aluminum GMC wheels on my 2000 Classic body style 2500 series truck. The size I chose is 285/75R16 D load range. I am impressed with the tire, handles well in the rain and at "unsafe speeds"!! Besides they look Cool!! I bought them from Tire Rack, they gave me the best price and shipping was included!! They even offered a road hazard insurance! the # is 800-477-8017
