im always looking presently in a 42 fountain been looking at the 41-47 apaches, 42 cig tiger, and 47 fountain cs not to be confused with the sc. i love my fountain and for were i boat it suits me fine, its fast for stock power 500's, but love the old classics just hate to give up the reliablity & fuel consumption. but for thr right boat things can change. the wife says in crazy and will never be happy.

I've been boatless for over a year - Yes, it sucks

And there's never a truer statement
Real boaters never stop looking for their next boat
We sold our boat with expectation of buying another right away, however the market started dropping and so did boat prices. Plus the boat we wanted would have been a stretch for us in a good market (35' to 43' range). I will wait until the market settles or when I just can't take it any more. I've owned four boats and other than the user fee (monthly payment), have broke even or better on return.

It doesn't help any that I also own a boat club.

I am looking for a 29 Fountain. I would prefer an Apache 36 but I want to have something that I can trailer with my current truck (95 Sub). I would also like to have twins but for now I will stay a single because I have just spent a small fortune on a motor and I am not ready to do that again so soon. To make matters worse, my wife has given the blessing on the larger boat. I don't think she has thought about the difference in expense between the 29 and 36. Like additional engine maint, insurance, storage and taxes. Anyway, still looking.
