Did you spec it to your order? If not look into it cuz I have bin down this road many times with them. Just looking out for this build. Ductile iron won't work for long. Brodix sells tungsten steel seats think they wher like 35 each. They hold up in a boat. They ***** about cutting them. Ask at pri in a few weeks.

That's funny.

Got to go arneson and heres why. That 5" stroke is gonna make stump pullin tq all the time even when ur not on the throttles, with a big hp/tq blower motor when u chop the throttle the cyl pressure and tq go away but not on the 5"stroker motor.
It wont be that hard to dial in. That dude with the 18 donzi with an arneson that runs 123mph got that sorted without changing drive height or jumping through hoops. Its the most straight forwatd drive system there is. Put a liberty trans in front of it and spend ur time and money dialing it in instead of using your money to replace exploded drives and tramnys. You want a bullet proof package bro. Just my .02

Need to find out what drive they use to pull water skiers to around 140mph. Think Australia

The 5" stroke motors we have done break parts when putting the boat on plane. And these were boats that would go on plane under 2,000 rpm.

Not all of them. The Doc's boat which is Mark's Buddy. Has one of the nicest boats I've ever seen it has a #5 on it which is a surface drive and runs in the 120's. Mange's boat has a #6 on it.

Seriously, we had talked Arneson. Bear with me as I'm an engine guy, not a boat guy. I have been told that no-one has ever put an Arneson on a LaveyCraft so we would be the R&D dept. This particular hull does NOT like to be nose down at all and the concern is the angle of the Arneson causing an upward thrust at the rear making the bow ride low. That would be a big problem and that is what the concern is.

Single engine 30ft double-step v-hull with an Arneson isn't very common from what I've been told. Hopefully BUP can chime in on this.
