Best old 23ft offshore boat for $10-12k?

The Pachangas certainly are beautiful boats, but 330hp with an alpha outdrive...

But doesn't have a cuddy. Looking for a stock 454 bravo, not a mercury racer. Want ultimate reliability.

Going by memory but pretty sure it is end grain balsa like my 280 was. Whether balsa or not, whatever you get serious about you need the check for moisture. Balsa if built correctly should not be a problem. Even without Balsa you still have transom and stringers to worry about. You are looking at older boats so check all carefully.

Also, blckkat said the Pachanga limit is 3ft. Understandably many boats won't like over 3's. Anyone say their choice will run larger than 3 footers reasonably well?

Again, I'm looking for stock 454 bravo, 23ft-ish cuddy. Top speed is unimportant to me. Fuel use is important to me for 25-35mph long range cruising.

True and I will be getting pro survey, rack storing, but would still prefer to avoid as much wood as possible.
