I don't think the 370 came with diesels either. You put Diesels in any boat and the price goes way up^^^^^

I'm on the fence about diesels. The CC market has spoken pretty emphatically, they prefer 4 stroke outboards to diesel inboards big time. A 496 or 500 gas merc with surface drives would be my ideal. Unfortunately only diesels get surface drives and the reliable gas power is hooked to junk drives.

I do like the fact that diesel on the water is cheaper than gas.

The 320 Cummins fuel efficiency is pretty sweet. Use half the fuel of gas is attractive. The Arnesons do a little better on MPH (57mph)

Is it? I`ve never noticed. That`s a plus.

Significantly cheaper on the water down here in Florida.

I'll say this about the diesels, louder and smellier, theoretically last longer. Maintenance is more expensive.

If you break one it's going to be very expensive. But you're a handy guy so I'd say the maintenance and repair expense factors would be less of a concern.

Thanx for the the heads up pretty sure my wife showed me that one , it`s a little out of my price range
I'm pretty sure I know what boat your talking about, it was kept at Sarnia Bay Marina for quite a few years.. Its needs to be refreshed cosmetically.. but it is a cool boat ( has some salt exposure ) I remember one year we were there for Bay Fest Weekend, the owner shows up around 10am & says I'm going to PIB for lunch wanna come for a ride ? lol I thought he was insane to go that far for the Boardwalk Lobster bisque.. never forget that story

Trip 700's, pretty reliable. But your people diving off the back might hit the arneson drives.
