I have been told that fountain skanks can negatively effect the center of gravity. Though the beak may be to compensate.

Ever get on a small commuter airline and you're asked to change seats ? That's a center of gravity change.

The ones I always wonder about is when they take a I/O boat and stick egg beaters on them. That has to have a effect.

No it's not. It's center of balance . Ever done airline operations ? It's 'weight and balance' .

I think for the average boater adding some caban space or heat and air to there boat will not notice a difference if the boat can come from the factory in these different set ups the hual it self is designed to run them with out big changes to the way they run and handle. That's what I think but what do I know I'm just a cement smoother lol

James, you find someone willing to "loan" me some big blower motors and six drives and we can do some R&D on the 272 and really see how bad the CG can get affected!

Its only worth discussing, when, its well, wanted to be discussed.

Tons of guys add intercoolers, big azz blowers, scoops /raised hatches, extension boxes, bigger drives, subwoofers, and so on. All for the better of the country.

If you buy IRON cylinder heads, you're an Idiot. You ruined the boat. End of story.

Don't even bring up swapping a pair of big blocks , for a pair of LS engines. You'll immediately gain 25mph, and have better handling from the weight savings.
