You'd be calling back to home from the Moon......
The reason it seems fine in that hull, I suspect its beauce its a jet pump and no matter what you can do to the engine,,,,you can only suck sooo much through a hole ( I keep trying to tell the lil lady that ! ) ... The limit to which you can turn a screw is very very high......

I heard he ran that boat all summer long messing around up & down the Parker strip...
...and also took it to the NJBA drags...full interior in a 21' Daytona (a big boat for the 1/4 mile) and ran some very respectable numbers....400HP shot or not!
1,000+HP at 6,000RPMs on pump gas w/Reher-Morrison heads...sounds like a good recipe to me! Even 800HP for $30K wouldn't be a bad deal...
