I like this will it work in my boat?

The lanyards are my keys if I ever need to remove them. I do like the pushbutton code one though. I wonder how these electronics like having the plug pulled on them on a regular basis with the battery switch.

My old snowmobile has a chip built into the lanyard so the safety lanyard is also a security key. I like that idea.

The keyless I have is actually Mercury Marine. Never knew. Was under their Quicksilver brand from what I could find about it. The bad news is
I'm not so sure they make them anymore. Crap on me if mine should fail. Also you have to ask why did they stop making them if that's the case?
I turn my battery on and off all the time when I'm out due to paranoia. Switch seems fine with that.

Between finding the battery switches and keys, actually turning them on, then ignition toggle, then starter toggle...... good luck stealing my boat! Oh yeah make sure the shifter lever is in neutral and kill switch lanyard is in place.....
LOL Easiest way to steal it is to wait til its on the trailer!
