F4 seems to be a faster hull but it chine walked a little at top speed, the Powerplay was rock solid but keep in mind it was almost 20 mph slower (400 less HP) than the Powerplay I drove. The PP has an old school feel to it, everything was square, look like the gauges were installed with a hole saw in a flat dash. The F4 was something out of Star Trek by comparison with a ton of CNC parts.

The boat at fast boats isn't as clean as temper tantrum. Still a great looking boat though!

F-4 is a 5-step hull vs.2 on the PP plus some other changes to the bottom. I never experienced any chine-walk in the F-4. Don't remember Teague making any mention of it either in his review. The only recognizable carryover from the PP to the F-4 is the cabin liner. Otherwise you would never know the F-4 buck started as a 38 PP hull/deck.
Sure looks like 2' added behind the steps plus a 3' swim platform. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...es-o68191.html |

I rode in the factory F4 boat and was aboard when they shot the cover for the brochure. At speed it would rock back and forth noticeably. I did 1/2 that poker run on a 43 NT which rode like a Cadillac and then came back on the F4. The chine walk was very noticeable on the F4 but that was the factory boat and might have been tweaked more than others. As I remember it ran about 104 when new whereas the other boats were 99-100. |
at 1:40-1:41 you can see the back and forth even on dead flat water. It may get more pronounced at higher speeds or with the NXT drive vs. bravos.

Lets get this back on track...the Powerplay has absolutely no chine walk at any speed. It also tracks extremely well.
