Cabs can be a bit pricey if you start jumping from one side of the lake to the other and have to cross the community bridge. It is no short ride say from Camden on the Lake to Captain Ron's. That one would cost ya. As close as you are I'd bring the Fountain and enjoy the event by water in your own ride.
Easy area to drive around in too. The GF is not a big day time drinker so usually have a DD for the day time fun stuff

Thanks everyone for the information. My plan as of now is going to be trying to find a house or cottage for rent. If that doesn't end up working out, I'm going to get a room at the tan tar and get a covered slip in their marina.

1BR waterfront condo at Heron Bay with covered slip can be had for about $100 night. 21mm by water in no wake cove and a central location by land.

Guess that means you're bringing the boat?? Good choice. LOTO is easy to drive and get around on, gets a little rough this week we're talking but just gotta take it a little easier. Tan-Tara is good, close to Red Head Yacht Club/Performance Boat Center, Shorty Pants, Paridise (by water) etc.
