So the bilge pump put a lot of fuel in the water around them???
Given that it had fishing rod holders, highly likely that it had a self-bailing cockpit. May not have bilge pump involvement.

Self-Bailing Cockpit wouldn't come into play would it? The cockpit floor would still be above the bilge. If fuel had been pumped into the cockpit floor, I hope they would have noticed that. I'm I misunderstanding a self-bailing cockpit? I own a Concept and don't have a Self Bailing Cockpit and have never owned a boat with one, so I might be wrong.

I'm pretty sure my rod holders on my self bailing cockpit still drain into the bilge

When it happened to us the fuel flowed into a long flush locker for fish storage.

I mean I could go home and pump some gas into a rod holder, but I think I would rather just put it in the tank instead.

I'm 99% sure that the rod holders in our Nor-Tech 390 do not drain into bilge
