Exclamation Your Thoughts on Aluminum Engine Blocks ??

I wanted to know the thoughts of you Offshore powerboat geniuses about running with aluminum blocks. I want to rebuild my setup both motors and was thinking to get 2 new aluminum blocks with aluminum heads. I am getting rid of the arnesons and putting #6 merc and they weigh more so to reduce the extra weight I was thinking to save some weight with aluminum blocks. Someone told me that the aluminum blocks were only for race cars...street land use

Imagine 140 pounds the whole block with sleeves

Big Block BRODIX® Block - Brodix

I know that with aluminum there is some electrolysis ( or something like that if that is not the word) problems but if the blocks are painted and the boat has some kind of antielectrolosis tabs and the boat is not left in the water always on a trailer would that not be ok?

I'm saving my money now for a Saris racing engine. Hopefully start one over the winter.
He can build exactly what I need.
