I know the legal thing might be a dead end but the meeting with the attorney went well. the consumer protection law 93A here in MA was designed to protect consumers against this exact thing. the attorney is seeing if we can bring suit here in MA and not have to do it in FL. Will be in a good place if we can do it locally. If the suit is not going to cost a fortune I am doing it just on principal alone. Actions have consequences- or at least should have. I get it that chit happens and sometimes people get screwed. I am just having a hard time accepting that right now.

One lesson I learned 20 years ago. ALWAYS ALWAYS have your work done locally. ALWAYS. Out of sight, out of mind, and like a long distance relationship impossible to properly manage it.

That's too bad it really is a nice boat.... where are you in MA... I can give you the name of my mechanic that serviced my 31 since I purchased it in 2011.

Well looks like the legal route is time consuming and challenging to say the least but I am moving on with my options. I am thinking of buying a new marine long block and swapping things over vs rebuild.
Anyone recommend a reputable machine shop in new england, that has an engine dyno, and will stand behind their work?

Now that the doo doo is all over the walls and all over your summer, the shop in FL had nothing to worry about. They had a 1500 mile buffer zone protecting them from any repurcussions. I think it might be appropriate at this point to give them the credit they so richly deserve. What are they gonna do, sue you for their work?

It’s been a while since I have been on here. My attorney stated that he was really confident that I would get a judgement with what happened and all of the documentation I had but if he decided not to pay I would need to hire another attorney in FL to enforce the judgement. I decided to take a break from all of this and save the money I would have spent on attorneys and put it towards fixing the boat. The company is 727 Marine Inc in Pinellas Park FL- Jeremy Bordner. Bad company and a bad person. Stay away. In hindsight if I had listened to my gut- I would have never known him or his company. With that said I am tired of thinking about how I got screwed and am moving on to hopefully a good 2018 season.
