That is definitely not a Sunsation.
Yes the first attempt at the Innovator was Wayne using some guy's somewhat radical concept. Yes, the step was huge and not traditionally shaped. I think Wayne said the guy who came up with the concept said it worked on the scale model but the flaw was in how the model was pulled or pushed thru the water so it didn't translate well at full scale. Something along those lines. Been a long time ago. I want to say fall of '02 when I was at the factory and the buck was being built.

That has some Sunsation features to it. The windsheild and the interior mimic other models. I think it could very well be the 'one-off' that Dave was mentioning above. It's almost has more of a sport cruiser look/size/shape to it; the Donzi Z33, and the like.

Actually I take that back. If you look at the deck from just above the rubrail it does look "Sunny-ish" The deck almost looks like someone could have raised up a Sunny deck. They may have mirrored the engine intake air vent just above the original. Then maybe the added a second chine vent. Interesting.
