Default 1991 22' Checkmate Convincor Info

Anyone have any experience with these boats? Any concerns that I should have? Boat is in Mint condition. Use to have a 454 but was replaced with a 350. See add below. thoughts and info would be greatly appreciated.

Seems like a lot of $ for a 91 with a 350 and Alpha package, and that porno red interior.

If it's "that clean" its a good buy. Checkmates are well built lake boats, personally I would rather have the small block in that size/drive combo

I had the same boat with a 350 package. Get a kidney belt. Any chop and the ride is hard.

That looks like a Persuader 219, not a convincor. Pretty fast hulls, with a pad. Not a bad all around about. Checkmates are middle of the road quality, great value in that they have in the gel colors, good hull design and good lines. They are all fully balsa cored, which is good but they used wood transoms and floors that sometime weren't finished off well. Some years were better than others as far as finish quality. I actually like the red interior on this, the deck seems to be a weird mismatch color.

Around $4 to $5k Canadian would be pretty good if it is in good cosmetic shape. I would say count on the floor, stringers and transom needing some attention, if it hasn't been done. which is not the end of the world.
