I agree with polylifts being a high quality lift but I just want to say check closely any used lift that has the arms that attach to a slip. The principle is sound but if the torsion bars have cracked or bent you could be in for a surprise when you try to lift your boat.
I know because it happened to me , the lift was thru a broker and although I blame no one............. it is a buyer beware market.

The torsion bars in it now are 1/4 inch wall and should last a lifetime

It was a never forget moment when we raised the boat the first time and it came up then tried to roll over
