Al Copeland passed away before the boat was finished but to fulfill his vision, Al Copeland junior and his crew completed the project.

All these stupid questions, remarks and comments.
If you look at the boat and don't get it, then you are clueless to offshore history and "the" late/great Al Copeland, and what he "personally" did for the sport of offshore racing.
Sad to say the least.

The Sheik ran the fastest turbine boat out there but I don't think he won the best paint award that weekend!
Moral of the story: one man's dream (no matter how great the man) isn't always the best idea!

So what kind of boat is it? Is it a one off "homemade" hull? If it was built for the sole purpose of running greater than 220 mph (a number blown away by the Sheikh when he ran 244) why does it have the ridiculous school bus cockpit?
