I do too but this is OSO Pete, they folks in the lakes don't believe me, you, nor anyone. They have seen the truth on the internet.
Salt eats everything , mostly from the inside out , and you guys in Florida what you consider "nice well taken care of" boats we consider a 4 out of 10 up here in fresh water. :silenced:You have a different definition of nice cause everything is salt eaten turd sandwiches. salt gets into everything I don`t care how much cleaning you do and that aint no internet wives tales. :food-smiley-007: |

Gas here is nearly $5 a gallon so when I can scrape up some cash, I fill her up and head out. Watching the weather this morning, might get a run today. Coat everything in salt, burn some fossil fuel and pay someone to clean up the mess.
believe it or not, we have a kind of winter here too. Last couple of nights the temp has dropped to the low 70's and daytime is around mid 80's. It's a real cold snap and people are rugged up. True story, Thais are wearing big wooly jackets and shivering! Im in my usual shorts and tee shirt. :) RR |

In comparison to the total cost of high preformance boating, the cost of fuel is minor.

While you were sleeping.........
Got out for a winter run today with a mate and his girlfriend. Sorry I didn't get a better pic but you can see how 'rugged up' his girl was. Looked even better when she put the hood up over her cap! Second photo is winter in Thailand at a local beach. Doesn't look too cold to me....? RR |
