To be honest every one of your posts came on strong with your opinions about how much motors should cost, how work should be done and how you wanted it done. I'm not surprised you got into this situation.

So in the wrong circumstance you could have a $10,000 bill for a month of storage. I have been to court over this and have won and lost, usually from me being arrested and the car being towed to a storage lot.
it happens to the best of us lol

That’s not really a storage facility, sounds like they are charging you for storing a project in their work shop. It’s a different deal.

He's making an example out of you for not doing business with him, possession is 9/10's of the law, you wont get the boat unless you pay the bill, cut your losses and move on.

Call the clerk of courts. You can make payment to them and pick up the boat. If they can justify any storage they will pay them and return the balance to you.

Fixed it.

Actually, it all started in 1513 when Ponce De Leon landed looking for some upgraded sails for one of his high dollar schooners. There was some question about whom owned the boat. He came back in 1521, hoping the boat still had the masts and hadn’t been set on fire, or carted off by some outlaw and hacked into little bits for the insurance doubloons. It was still there, but there was an argument about the 8 years of storage fees. During the argument, somebody tried to whack ol’ Ponce, and he retreated to Cuba where he died. True story. Read it on the interwebz.

Out of line as storage yard rates but $100+ day for storage at a service shop isn’t that unusual. Better watch for their next step of slapping a storage lien on it. None of this sounds like fun!
