Is that a PVC plenum painted silver on the MG?
That's pretty slick for what it is.

Trying to make ram air for it but can’t get it to flow enough air.

Went up one size and tried again.
Better but still not there.

Thx though!

Our gang was attempting to come over and visit and to say hello. One of us had some issues and needed to turn back to PIB, we were coming around the loooong way from PIB, north to go around North Bass and then back around into the state docks. Never made it.

It was shaping up to be a great run while it lasted.

I heard you guys.

Was texting Kelly and guessing I was hearing him.

One of the cool things about the Middle Bass marina is you can hear all the muscle boats coming/going from PIB.

Course, I want to jump on my bike and pedal over to the shore line too see what it is!

We wanted to do more exploring of North Bass but didn’t.
We have been to and seen, many, nice, boats anchoring off the SE and SW shore lines before.

If you’re staying on your boat (don’t think you guys are??) you can dock in the quiet/sanity at MB then take the Sonny S to PIB to set your hair on fire then come back to your boat.
If your not staying on your boat then options are limited on the island.

Were taking our MG to PIB via ferry for the British car races in a few wks.

Now that it’s running good, I decided to make it pretty.

Gel was far enough gone I didn’t know if I could save it.

Tough to be motivated about cosmetics when you can’t even keep it running.

Started w/diluted muriatic acid and ended up at full strength.

Then two days on a buffer!

This in preparation of a day of testing before seasons end.

Work to do.

Finally got time to finish removing the weed cutters from the 28” Chopper.
Had time to make it functional, not purdy.

Bit of an update……..

Towed to the Suwannee River W coast of Fla a month ago and then to the Intracoastal on the east.

Not near as much time on the boat as wanted but first time in smooth water more than 3 mls long.

Still figuring out when and how much tab to pull but getting there.

W/50% down tab and optimum trim, I saw 71 on GPS w/boat flying nice and feeling good.

Next I’ll pull tabs 100% then dial trim and see what I have.
Expect + 3 - 5 mph’s.

Still no good shots at speed but got one at 65 w/down tab after crossing wakes.

Going to add cabin port holes this winter for light and ventilation in the cabin.

Also contemplating converting to 20” motors in spring.

First I’m going to try reversing rotation on motors.

One shot is from the Fla turnpike toll cameras and I think hilarious.

I forgot my sunpass so did “pay by plate”.
Was pretty sure they wouldn’t see the plate on the van and wondered if they’d see the plate on the boat trailer 😉

They did!

Another one was of the boat right under our hotel room window on the way home.
Had no idea until I pulled the curtain!
