Team Deranged was leading the race for the first two laps until his boat could not handle the pressure of Zero Cavity closing on them

Great to hear the boats survived the "incident" at the begining of the race. A testemony to the stregnth to which they are built.
5 boats and our boats finished 1-2. Could not ask for any better than that!
So when are you going to switch over to One Design and the $30,000 cash prize purse???

In another thread about BatBoats it was stated that Factory 1 boats could beat BatBoats, especially Activator. Looks like it was not true by 1 mph
What kind of power and speed do the two batboats have vs. the Factory 1 boats?
What were the water conditions?
what size boats/motors were the other P4 boats?
why were the P4 boats so much faster than 1 design boats?

Zero Cavity has the Mercury Scorpion 377 which is rated at 350HP and Mercury Bravo 1 for sterndrive.
One Design is using the Volvo package and their engine I think is around 315HP or 320HP and Volvo DuoProp. That is why the speed difference.
The 28 open Batboat I beleive has the Volvo engine at around 500+HP and Volvo's DuoProp.
The water conditions were perfect for our boats and that is why we run 1mph faster than F1.

Have not seen or heard about the zero cavity boat in years! Ehere did it ended up? I remember seing it for sale many years ago but then what? Repainted? Is doc still boating? If so with another Cig or something else? Someone must have some info here!!!
