Default OPA Cancels Bimini Race

With not enough sponsorship backing to defray the cost, the OPA Bimini race is out, https://speedonthewater.com/new-boat...ls-bimini-race.

It was definitely an awesome experience last year standing in the water watching them go by.

Its hard enough to race in the USA. Leaving the USA is hard on teams in terms of insurance, passports, hauler, registrations and titles, pre delivering the boat, costly flights, extra time off work, hard on crew members, limited parts if you break testing, local medical, cost $$$$, extra flights to get boat back and expensive lodging. And of course your whole family wants to go to that race lol. Yes it has been done but the logistics and cost for all involved is extremely high. I applaud the efforts to all that have tried to make this happen. As always it all about the money and ROI
