2018 Tow Setups-Let’s See Em

Recently picked up a stock class c. Pulls the boat well. Likes to cruise at 75.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...1310c2120.jpeg

Nice, congrats, what power is in it?

We have a 2016 Dodge 3500 W/ the 6.7 Cummins, and the Dodge factory rear Air bag suspension, which is really sweet.. Pulls the 388 like its not there, this is the only pic I have hooked-up to 1 of the boats..

SecondWind 05-13-2018 06:27 AM

The rv has v10 gaser-305HP/420TQ. Pulls well but sounds wimpy. Needs the Gale Banks exhaust kit.

Jupiter Sunsation 05-13-2018 07:49 AM

You can now buy a 5500 Ram Chassis Class C RV with the Cummins in 2WD or 4WD!

Isata 5 Class C Motorhomes by Dynamax

Best of both worlds!

SecondWind 05-13-2018 08:32 AM

Nice rig but out of my price range. The unit I have now has a tow rating of 7500 lbs. That’s plenty for our little boat.

Old school tow rig becaue the dually's with big V8's could not do the job easily over the Rockies when we raced in California.

The boat and truck are gone but the model keeps the memory alive.

ERA was 1978 thru 1980

When the boat finally arrived at a race site, it was all set to go and play with my friends.

Notice the crowds in Newport Beach, California that came out to watch the offshore racing.

I am not sure that challenger has enough torque or power to get the job done. Besides technically it is only 2 wheel drive how do you expect to get out of a wet ramp.

@Warparty- Beautiful XL! The Lone Star front end really makes that rig work! Why does Renegade offer 3 different front ends (Volvo, Freightliner, Lone Star) for one RV line? The best looking one (LS) seems to be the rarest to find.

How does it tow being that long? I'd imagine right turns in tight areas are challenging.

The LS is the rarest because the bare chassis price is higher than the other 2, but is well worth the money in my opinion. The length really isn't really a problem if you plan ahead, although anything 92' long can be a challenge in tight spots. In a turn, the rear end of the toter swings out and the front end of the trailer follows. Another plus is the truck and trailer are the same length so the pivot point is in the middle.

The cover was made by Canvas Connection, I think he has a page on spacebook.

My old girl - 2001 Silverado 3500HD - 496 with the Alison transmission. She has been a good truck for me but after 17 years, now its time to get a new one next month. (2018 3500HD Duramax Sport LTZ)

Do you launch the boat with the Motorhome also? I have a 40' diesel pusher, but I have always been afraid to launch the boat with it.

I haven’t launched with it yet because most places I go have tractors. I don’t see it being a problem, because I can hit the differential locks and pull with all 8 rear tires if I need to.

I don't have that option. Just 2WD. Here's a picture towing my old boat, only 19 ft. but 115 mph. I would make my wife follow in the truck so I could launch the boat.

I need to get a picture but I just finished up my 2008 F250 with a 12 valve Cummins in it. It should be right around 500hp/1000 ft lbs mark. It was a ton of work and I'm glad to have it back on the road. Actually drove it to work this morning. I'll get a picture this weekend.
