I don't care if somebody stuffed up and built the boat incorrectly, I think it looks great. Very practical and fast enough for a few friends sitting around on lounges with a drink in their hand.
If you need more speed, you can buy an Outerlimits (looks sensational) and squeeze your middle aged (or older) butt into the bolsters, glue some goggles to your face and slap your headphones on so you can hear the driver scream out when you're about to hit a wave.
Horses for courses and I think both boats look great but they'll appeal to a different buyer. Personally, I'd prefer to lounge around in the nearly 10' beam any day of the week.
Am I the only one who can remember when 40 mph in the family runabout was fast?

Nice. Even if the mold was screwed up from specs, which seems unlikely if anyone from Iconic was paying attention during the process, adding a pad and a notch back into the mold are two of the easier changes to molds. There is some work, but it's not like throwing the mold out and starting all over.
