so you had trany issues?? maybe this ASS ran the truck with a chip for some of those 320 miles!???
|
Normally in the glove box is a Lemon Law booklet, I mailed the card in on a Grand Cherokee AND a Ford Taurus, met with the regional guy both times, they are very powerful, they are the decision makers, not the dealer ship.
I was given FULL MSRP back for the car, of course we paid less, so we paid 7 cents a mile usage fee on one and 12 cents a mile on the other. I got out from under both vehicle, it works, and they negotiate, especially if you will another of their product. Jon, again, how many miles on the truck???? Nightmare you are one of many that is going to be affected by Ford's "Performance Enhancement" policy. If you want warranty, don't chip the truck.
|
i did not chip the truck, and at the time i did not know what chiping the truck actually did but now i know that they should have been able to walk out to the truck and look and see that it was not chipped, you have to scrape some coating off to chip it.

have 110k on my 00 dually...(same fluid)
sold my tow van w/E40D with 175K...now has 215K with same fluid! |
the problems i was talking about were not even drive train related, you had to hit my driverside fender to get the light to come on and the key would not turn back far enough to get it out.

Getting a vehilce returned under the lemon law can't possibly be all that hard to do. My sister's ex-husband got a dealer to take back an S-10 Blazer, and trust me, this guy was moron of the highest caliber. Most times, he couldn't even speak in complete sentences.
They ended up offering him 100% of his purchase price towards another GM, or a refund with a very small amount subtracted for the mileage he had already put on the truck. He took the refund. Only smart thing I ever saw the guy do. |
Nightmare, that's raw!!!! I really DOUBT the chip caused an electrical problem in the door. Unfortunately some dealers take it to the EXTREME, and that is unfounded.
