I've been on OSO since the beginning and will be here until the end which hopefully never arrives. The amount of information on OSO is priceless. It is the google for performance boats. There is also a deep comradery between a lot of the members that you won't find on FB. I've met a lot of OSO members in person and it was like I already knew them when we met. I've made numerous friends over the many years I've been here and seen the drama and some heartache that members have gone through.
I'm also on FB and it is a completely different type of social media at least for me. 95% of the people on my friends list, I know in person Some were people I was very good friends with years ago and we drifted apart because they moved away. The tech advise on the boating groups, when someone has a problem, is mostly inaccurate and much of the time laughable. It is great place to keep up with friends about what is going in their lives.

Except I have two non-boating trips in September(yes, they exist) to the UM/LSU game Labor day weekend in Dallas and the Key West MC Poker run the 14th-17th. And did I mention I turn 50 on the 20th?

Oh, and in between all of those I'm supposed to have a career that is 90% done on the weekends. I need my head examined. LOL

I don’t use Facebook because I’m a grown up.

i haven’t been around here much because the newest update sucks and it’s hard to use on my phone. I’m sure there are some tech maneuvers to make it better, but I’m old school and can’t stand farting around with computer BS. I just want to read about and see kickass boat stuff.
