I only have 190 under water exhaust and a 2bbl.

9 mph and no transom stress?? Does enyone else not believe this?

I think LX stands for 4-barrel.

Yes, an L&S Stern Jack WILL add stress to the transom assembly, but not to any "borderline" level. The gimbal mount will be the weak link, but there again, not near a dangerous level (the same gimbal has been used on 330hp big blocks).

An Edelbrock 4-barrel Performer intake and a Holley 600 marine carb along with a stubstack and a tall flame arrestor...

Those additions may bring you to the 210-215 horse level.

Advancing timing a couple of degrees may help.

Aside from those items, you start spending money in big hunks. At that time, it would be cheaper to get a rebuilt 350ci.

keep your eye out the LX motor came with a NICE cast iorn single plane 4 barell intake they can be found (had) for $35-$75. this and a holley will definetly give you more top end. If your turning that 19 over 5200 I would look at or try a 21 mirage prop. Charlie

I heard with a new intake and 4bbl i could gain around 400 rpm. If I put those on, I would deffinaltey get a 21. What about labbing my Turbo 3 blade stainless 19?
