Agree, Stephen was awesome to work with. His level of talent and patience is commendable. Cannot tell you how many change requests and tweaks were made. Always received same response from Stephen "Okay cool you'll have those changes to you in 30 minutes" Awesome experience!

Thank you as well Nordictribal, your impute was extremely helpful. Maiden Voyage will be one for the ages...

Gary - looks like your build thread is the official thread to watch this winter. Off to an awesome start. Digging how you flipped the layout while keeping a similar color palette. Fresh design for sure

Thanks, designing graphics is stressful. Bad design is expensive to fix. I met Stephen Miles in Key West this past November, what a great guy. He took our thoughts and colors and went to work. We're thrilled with the outcome.

Should have some baby pictures of the boat in the mold next week.

Gary
When should we see some color on this bad boy? Also thinking black Myco vs. red will look best.

39 Unlimited 12-30-2018 11:20 AM

leaning toward a black aluminum Myco. Hoping they can add hull illuminating LED's.

Wanted to get the groups thoughts on alcantara cloth interior. Hearing pros and cons...I know it looks cool and doesn't seem to get hot but wondering how it holds up and how to clean suntan oils and general summer sweat from it.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

My buddy had Waves and Wheels redo his TS TG interior and used a combination of vinyl in the high wear/seating areas and Alcantara on the sides and backs of seating surfaces as well as the side panels. Came out fantastic. See post #15 down.

WOW! that is some serious quality work. Waves and Wheels did this?

kilo 12-31-2018 08:15 AM

Hey Gary....the alcantara in ours (black and white) has been put through its paces and I highly recommend. Honestly, I've never cleaned it other than with water and a rag - I cant tell any difference in wear since purchase.

Here's engine colors. This is a 2015 picture of the QC4v 1350. Going with Dual Calibration 1100 / 1350's with this color combination.

Bilge will be charcoal to silver fade

Found this picture of our 2015 42X there does appear to be a difference . Clearly this picture is not from same build stage but appears to be slightly different. Good eye 370ss. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...c4f0ee0541.jpg

Gary, this is has to be one of the most beautiful and classy designs i've ever seen on a cig! Followed your 39 build, and your subsequent 42 build. Very happy for you and excited to see the build! It's true that we don't get to see enough of these build threads anymore, and I have to thank you for sharing with all of us!

Very impressive. The design fits the hull very well, hard to beat white, red and black combo on a perf boat.

Good luck and enjoy every step of your new build.

Awesome build! I always thought the pull of the 1100’s was amazing. 1350’s should be mind blowing!

It works. Sends you to page 2 of a thread, but you can go to page 1 post 15.
Try it again.

Not a lot to report this week. Deck and hull are officially married but it looks a little lonely today.

Might be a slight 'lull' is progress as Cigarette puts the finishing touch's on their Miami Boat Show masterpieces. The Miami show is where Cigarette clearly separates itself from the competition, I will gladly accept a 'timeout' as they complete their show boats.

Future water rocket

IGetWet 01-12-2019 08:59 AM

Either way still looks like good progress is being made! Thanks for sharing everything. Really cool to follow along for those of us who haven’t built a new boat, much less a 2700hp quad turbo rocket wave crusher like this.

Hey Gary just a suggestion, leave off the large 42X on the side of the boat, it's to big!

Yes sir. Primary color will be white with black thread diamond stitching. Contrasting colors will be light gray and black. The black will be a new cloth material that doesn't get hot.
Both cockpit and cabin carpet inserts will be red.
Cigarette does such a great job on the interior should like awesome

This is awesome. I've followed your builds in the past and always enjoyed it. Id be curious what you lose every 3 years when you trade in. Of course, you might not care to share that so I understand. But I'm sure that I am not the only one wondering lol.

LOL! It’s funny, I place so much value in boating I don’t think I’ve lost one single penny. Very blessed to be able spend time boating in the greatest country on earth.

ICDEDPPL 01-15-2019 05:41 PM

I feel like it looks like every other cig paint job in the last 10 year. same ol same ol.
If I was doing one from scratch it would be unique and easily spotted in the crowd.
