I sort of agree with this, but there's more white or just plain hull (which is a good thing) than many others.

Yes sir. Primary color will be white with black thread diamond stitching. Contrasting colors will be light gray and black. The black will be a new cloth material that doesn't get hot.
Both cockpit and cabin carpet inserts will be red.
Cigarette does such a great job on the interior should like awesome

Sounds fantastic, I like lots of white on interiors, it's just a clean look.

LOL! It’s funny, I place so much value in boating I don’t think I’ve lost one single penny. Very blessed to be able spend time boating in the greatest country on earth.

Oh I agree, the memories I have created growing up boating and boating now as an adult are priceless so you cant really place a value on it. I was just curious on how well the value is on the trade after 3 years and 100+ hours. Double R told us we could get pretty close to what we paid on our 2016 Nor-Tech 390 if we traded it for a 450 after just under 1 year of owning it. Mostly due to the fact it would be immediately available for someone to not have to wait over a year to build a new one. We ended up not going for it, largely because we didn't want to wait a year or more for a 450 build.

limited production and awesome product like Not-Tech definitely helps. Honestly, you have to love this hobby / sport to justify it. We have many friends that the track cost of boating down to a daily run rate. This type of accounting doesn’t work for me.

Very enjoyable keeping up with this build, I agree with above post, if your a true boater the value is priceless. Anxious to see it this coming boating season at LC!!

Well as expected build has hit the "quiet period". Good news is were only 12 days out from day one of the Miami show. I suspect hanging the 6th 400R on the new CC has trumped bilge sanding on our boat (completely understandable).
Boat should be in paint in a week our so. Plan on checking it out before heading to the show on the 14th.

Hitting a "quiet period" is way more preferable than a boat being rushed at the end to hit the show. I've seen a number of boats over the years which I thought the builders would have been better off not making the show with the final product, or it was headed back to the factory for fixes and refinishing.

Couldn't agree more. As I look out my window here in Cincinnati I see 5" of snow on the ground, no boating here until late April.

Boat is still on schedule for May 1st delivery.

Gary - still time to change motors to 1550/1350s ... what do you think?

After a short debate it was decided (by a higher power in the house) to do the 1350/1100’s. Would love to see someone do a 1550 42X it’s just not gonna be us.

To bad it wasn’t ready for the boat show . They have one 38 top gun there and the rest are CC’s . Incredible to see the change in course for these companies

Are the building any other performance boats beside your boat and the center consoles?

Pretty sure the hulls are different. They reworked the 2 main steps on the 42x when they originally developed it, and there is a 3rd small step aft.

there were 3 different 42 “tiger” hulls. The straight, the stepped (that turned out not to work well with 6’ / big power) so cig completely redesigned the bottom and came out with the 42X. Cig actually sold both twin step hulls for a short period of time (Twin step tiger and 42X) until they figured out the 42X worked with all applications.

Wow, that transom is awesome. Those seat backs look incredible as well! I think I’d hand everyone who gets in the boat a bottle of spray wax and a terry cloth and tell them to spray and wipe anything they touch. That anal anxiety might wear off after a couple years...

LOL!!! Might take your advice. These guys do such a great job with the details.

Wow I love everything about this boat. The white especially looks good on this one. My best friend owned your old 39 for a couple years. That thing was a beast as well, congrats on your latest masterpiece!
