Thanks
I have 23 & 25 REV-4 for my stingray and think they are 14.5inch Will check Tuesday for sure. That's ok to continue chat here.

Only had about an hour runtime before purchasing late last fall so I can't answer what I felt. Both props pull very strong to what's shown on tach with 3-4 in boat.

Forgot to ask, what are the Bravo 24 & 26p part numbers?

imo something else is going on here.
23p and 25p should drop you down by at least 400 rpms stock props going with the 25p. If your pushing both props to the rev limiter, you should feel the 23p hitting quick and hard!! The rev limiter does not just stop rpms, the mag ho has a soft limiter at 5150 and a hard limit at 5250, either way your going to feel and hear it popping when it starts cutting fuel and spark.

Another way of saying this is if your hitting 68 mph wiht the 25p, then technically if you could spin the 23p at a higher rpm to reach around 68mph as well if you didnt have the limiter and HP was constant above that.

So, I would either get another prop for a baseline to see whats going on before spending money on labbing or more props or put the 23p back on and see if it was hitting it limiter as it should and you just didnt realize what was going on. Oh, make sure you not overtrimming the 23p with no speed just to get extra rpms.

First thing I would do is check your tach for accuracy at higher rpms.

A 26 Bravo 1 will spin about 200rpms less than a 25 Mirage Plus.

Both REV4 props are 14.75 diameter. Going to put this thread to rest until spring arrives and get some runtime and data. If I still have the Stingray then can test the REV4 props.

I was backwards on prop diameters. The bravo is 15 1/4 and the Rev4 is listed as 14.75. Am I correct that a 25 Rev4 will act like a higher pitch than a 25 MIrage+ due to 4 blade vs 3 blade, or is it just different handling characteristics?

Finally got some real test results over the last few weeks. I upgraded the tach... that said the mirage+ 25p runs 65(gps) but takes time to get there. tried the Hydromotive Q4-x-24p at 66(gps) and both showed 4700rpm. So my guess would need the hydromotive in 23P to add about 200rpm more. Had 3 onboard along with about 40gal fuel or more. I do like the feel of Hydromotive overall but need to figure out the sweet spot to reduce the porpoise under 50mph. I have seen some props have the "flare" removed... what's the +/-'s of the flare. What would be the general handling differenced between the Hydromotive and Bravo-1? Seems like a love hate 50/50% on which one works better?

thanks

UPDATE: hydromotive not offered in 23P.
