Hilarious!
Is that magazine still in print?
If so I may see if they’ll deliver to the states.
I haven’t subscribed to a boat magazine since Hot Boat went belly up.
I’m a huge fan of magazines and hate seeing them all close up.
Picked up a hot Rod Magazine at the grocery yesterday for the first time in years and it’s 1/4 the size it used to be which is not a good sign.
I subscribed to them a while ago and let it expire after getting sick of every issue having million dollar custom built cars that some rich guy paid to have built.
Seems like a new editor every issue.
Not afraid of foreign magazines either.
My favorite for the last couple of years is one called Motorcycle Mechanics Illustrated that caters to old Jap classics like I like.
And of course it is written and published in Great Britain.
Current issue has a regular contributor that happens to be a genius and builds bikes that I can’t even conceive.
Current one is Kawi Z-1 900 in-line 4 that he’s converting to a 6!

a shadow of its glorious past. Glad you found yourself a cool bike magazine by the limeys. Sure miss the good ol' Powerboat Magazine.
I used to read my old issues from time to time, but our last move was going to be a short term thing, so books and magz have stayed in storage.
Three years later I'm ready to go and get them, but the wifey is not impressed by the size of our pad, so until the next move I'll have to suffice
with what's available online.

Nice one Lars, can't say I know that bird, not typical Aussie, probably what you'd call a redneck but funny too.
There's a popular 'gentleman's club' in my neighborhood called The Camel Toe. Great staff, cold beers, good music and free food promotions. For bookface users, you can get an idea here (if it's not blocked to the U.S.)

If you're not on bookface, well, maybe you should be.....
Sorry for the distraction, regular programming from the Captain can now resume......

I think I’m paying $60 U.S. For the bike mag.
I have a decent magazine collection too.
Unfortunately I lost probably 30% in a flood 30 yrs ago and another 10% during a move.
I have some old Rudder magazines from the ‘60’s too that I got from my dad.
I am about due for a 6 pack in the basement while reviewing the collection.
The old ad’s are about as good as the stories.
How about a BMW outdrive?
Or a Chrysler 340 cu in motor w/3 2 barrels on an outdrive?
Or an interview w/Don Aronow where he was laughing at guys racing on rivers, harbors etc and calling it Offshore?
Keep thinking I’ll get time to start a thread on here w/some of the old stuff for the people that still enjoy seeing where it all started.

Well unfortunately for U.S. subscribers it adds up with the shipping, so for 12 issues it's $105/year. Agree on Hot Rod Magazine, it's

I love everything that makes a ripple on the water, so I've got almost the complete 50 issues of Nautical Quarterly. The quality if those have never been eclipsed imho.
As far as the Chrysler 340 Super Bee III, it was popular in Sweden in the early '70s with the Volvo Penta E racing drives. The photo of the yellow 28' by Smuggler Boats was the boat to have running those, and with 28 degrees at the transom it was a serious wave crusher.
A few BMW gasoline 4 and 6 bangers, with their Z Drive, sold in Scandinavia in the '80s. Then they tried diesels. I heard the Z stern drive was strong, but very heavy. Guess BMW sold their Marine Division to Mercury in the late '80s.
Saw the page for The Camel Toe joint in Pattaya. They seem to have a talented crew there. LOL

Id get in big trouble and lose all my money in a place like Camel Toe!
I was in a famous place in Atlanta (don’t remember the name) decades ago that the staff was from Georgia Tech and wasn’t even a nine in the place. Everyone was a 10!
I picked one that I couldn’t believe would actually dance there.
A goddess!
I was there with a group from work and she got up on our table and I pulled out my money clip, took all the cash out and laid it in front of her and told her to dance till I’m broke then go away.
When she was done and I was broke, I pulled out my visa and told her I would take her any place she wanted to go as long as I could pay for it with a visa card.
She thought about it, and I meant it.
Luckily she said no 😂
