Trim Tab speed

Are they Bennett Trim Tabs or Instatrim?
If I remember corrctly, they both require plain ATF or Power Steering fluid.
Call the manufacturer. I know for a fact that the customer service at Bennett sets the bar for marine companies.

With you on this. Back in the day with the Velocity I came up with a system of using Holley carb jets in the hydraulic lines to slow down the tab action so that you could get things just where you wanted them. One of Steve's bastardly 32's, one mofo of a handful at the century mark.

Makes sense. ATF is equivalent viscosity to a 10w oil. My Dana HP1000 tabs call for 30w oil. One tab hose had a pinhole and milkshaked the oil. Flushed out with bulk 40w oil. Other tab with 30w oil was noticeably faster responding.

Well for me I am just a pleasure boater so I thought it was kind of funny. It’s not like I noticed they were to slow before. I have never raced a boat so don’t know what is better there.
