We did marine mat. Easy to clean as it snaps in and out.

Good info here. So is the marine mat and sea dek the same basic material, and the only difference being sea dek is more permanent, per se, and the marine mat just snaps in/out like carpet?

Yes, very similar if not same materials. The marine mat can be glue in or snap in.
