I am interested in this as well! I made my lay in floor out of Sea Dek type material that I bought on line. So far I like it after the first season.

The Marine Mat does NOT get hot. The black vinyl, on the other hand, does. That's why I kept the seat cushions white.

No, Marine Mat can be either adhesive backed or snap in.

Also, cost is very different. I'm sure it varies from job to job, but I was quoted exactly double by SeaDek for the cockpit flooring than what I paid with Marine Mat. This was for the same thickness material. I had samples of both and couldn't tell the difference.

We did Sea Dek in ours and we love it. Very easy to clean if anything gets on it and it doesn't get hot like carpet. Also it give the interior a more finished look. We did the cockpit, foot rests, steps on the dash and the cuddy floor in ours.

Who do you have do the engraving? Is it custom ordered this way? Do I just got to my Marine Mat or Sea Dek dealer and they'll know what to do?

That 30 Spectre is beautifully done!

Thanks!

Yes, it’s custom ordered. I provided a pdf file with the logo and described how I wanted the lines. A dealer will make a digital template with a 3D measuring tool or you can provide a physical template. From that, they create a proof for you to approve before it gets cut and routered. If you go with a lighter color, they can also burn patterns in with a laser.
