This is on my soon future to do list. I like the fact that the LED eliminates the mechanical cables. One and done, per se.

Eliminating the bulky cables is definitely a benefit and helps clean things up. But- my bulky, sloppy mechanical system hasn't broken in 30 yrs. I find it hard to believe an electric system would have lasted as long. That's why I hate to give up the known reliability of the mechanical system.
